Itinerary:

Day 1 – Beginning Our Adventures in Clearwater, British Columbia

black beark trees wells grayArrival at the Blue Grouse Country Inn at 9:30am PDT. After meeting your guide we drive to Green Mountain Viewing tower overlooking the southern part of Wells Gray Park. We continue on to visit Dawson Falls, also nick named "Little Niagara" and then drive to Clearwater Lake. There our guide will give us a detailed introduction into paddling techniques and environmental ethics before we paddle our canoes for approx. 3 hours to a beautiful camp setting, where we will set up our wilderness camp.

Day 2 – Visit the Majestic Helmcken Falls

After a relaxing breakfast we paddle back to the canoe launch and put away our canoes and paddle gear. After stopping at Bailey's Chute where you can see the salmon jumping in August we visit majestic Helmcken Falls (2.5 times the height of Niagara Falls) and admire the powerful waters plunging into the impressive lava canyon. Return to the Blue Grouse Country Inn when we arrive at approx. 04.30 p.m.

Special Notes:

  • We require a minimum of 4 participants and a maximum of 12 participants
  • For our canoeing excursions for children 4 to 12 years of age sitting in the center of the canoe with their parents we grant a 25 % discount. Children 0-4 are free of charge but guests will have to bring their own approved flotation device for the child.
  • All guests are required to sign a waiver of liability prior to departure.
  • For accommodation before and/or after the tour please visit: Blue Grouse Country Inn.

Tour Price Includes:

  • Guided canoeing, hiking and sightseeing in Wells Gray Park as outlined
  • Use of camping equipment (tent and insulating pad)
  • Canoe and equipment rental
  • Wilderness campsite fees
  • All meals starting with lunch on first day and ending with lunch on the last day.
  • Park use fees

Not Included in Tour Price:

  • Personal expenses
  • Fishing license, tackle etc
  • Bring your own sleeping bag (Rental $ 25.00 / trip)
  • Applicable Taxes

!! Gratuity is mandatory in North America and a minimum of $10.00 per day per adult should be handed to the guide at the end of the tour, please !!
