CANOE WELLS GRAY

For avid paddlers and guests who are planning to visit the sites and attractions of Wells Gray Park on a different day we offer a full day paddling on Clearwater Lake
We start at 09.30 at the Wells Gray Guest Ranch. In our van we travel directly the 50 minutes on gravel road to Clearwater Lake. After detailed instruction we board our canoes and start paddling to Diver's Bluff Campsite. Here we enjoy a delicious picnic lunch and have the option to hike up the steep trail to Eagles View. After an approx. one hours rest we cross the lake to the east shoreline and paddle back to the canoe launch. Total paddling time approx. 4 hours.
Adventurous beginners who don't mind the extend of paddling are welcome. On this trip are no better paddling skills, but more endurance required than with our "Appetizer".

Duration: approx. 6 hours

Cost: $ 95.00 + taxes (including lunch)

There are a minimum of two participants required. Please note that this trip has to be pre-arranged as it is not automatically available daily. Please contact us for reservation.

WELLS GRAY APPETIZER

The best way of exploring Wells Gray Park is walking short nature- and historic trails along the Wells Gray Park corridor combined with paddling the crystal clear waters of Clearwater Lake.
This trip starts with meeting at 9.30 a.m (departure 10.00 a.m.). at the Wells Gray Guest Ranch. Leave your car at the ranch and don't travel the dirt roads on your own. During this trip a knowledgeable local guide will drive you and show you the major sights of Wells Gray Park like Green Mountain Viewpoint, Dawson Falls, Helmcken Falls, Bailey’s Chute and historic Ray Farm. The highlights of the day is an approx. 2 hour canoe trip on Clearwater Lake to Cariboo Campground, where you enjoy delicious barbecued smokies for lunch.
Beginners welcome as our licensed and trained guides will give you detailed paddling and safety instructions.

Duration: approx. 6 hours

Cost: $ 95.00 + taxes (including lunch)

This trip is very suitable for beginner canoeists. There are a minimum of 2 participants required. As we are visiting all the major attractions of the park  it is ideal for guests who have a rental car as they are usually not permitted to travel on gravel roads.
